no there's nothing wrong with you i'mthe same way but for diff reasons. i like making my own style and way of dressing so i don't like when othrs copy or borrow my things bc it's like fraud but with clothes haha. but seriously it's not rude at all they need to dress for themselves and i doubt you're going to super duper stores to get ur stuff so if they really liked it they would have gotten it when they shopped. so i say the next time they ask just be like "i don't remember" or say a diff. store name (than where u got it from) and be like "it was the last one" just some ideas.
