Marine infantry radio operator?
In case no Marine answers, I'll throw in my two cents from an Army perspective. If you are igned at the Company level, you will be the companies resident commo expert, taking care of equipment and training. You will probably work in the company operations center unless there is a company sized operation, in which case you will probably be the company commanders RTO (radio telephone operator). If you are at the battalion level on the commo team, you'll be doing even more stuff at the battalion's ops center, probably on night shift since you're the lowest ranking new guy. A lot of radio watch, replacing broken damaged equipment, issuing out batteries, etc... could be a lot of different things. Hopefully you'll get a more perfect answer from a Marine, but things are often similar between the two services.
