How much of the current wave of anti-Catholicism by fundies is attributable to Jack Chick?

Obviously hateful religious zealots have been around for centuries, but so much of the current misinformation about Catholics seems to me to sound like it's not being quoted, as much as regurgitated verbatim from some nutcase source like Chick's. How much damage have those little comic books of his really done?
