Why does everyone think that the Warriors are thugs?

I think just because Stephen Jackson is now on the Warriors, it seems like everyone on that team is considered thugs. WHat's up with that? Before that trade, Baron Davis and Jason Richardson were not considered thugs. Al Harrington was not considered a thug previously. I just don't get it. These guys play with a lot of emotions, true. But isn't that what basketball or any sport is all about?
