Cruiser cycle for trips, not too big, but more suited to travel than Kawasaki vulcan 500?

I have a 500 cc Kawasaki Vulcan, a good bike for local riding and commuting, and more than enough power; but I would like to know what might be a good somewhat bigger bike suited to taking longer trips, say several days. But I don't want a monster and I don't need more power than I need, if that makes sense. The Vulcan goes more than fast enough to get in trouble on, I'm pretty conservative--I want to enjoy the trip, not show off.
