Blaster worm - with weird blackboarded blue message keeps popin up and changed screenresolution?

read that blaster worm give u a countdown until it shutdown (shutdown -a doesnt help). however, i have a thick black bordered blue mesage with "detected harmful spyware" etc... and that i need to download removal or if i still see the mesage again then go on safe mode and delete it(file+from add&removal). did that but the mesage still pop up after awhile over&over. found out later that ESC help avoid the thing from restart but after awhile it will show up again&again. however, screen resolution messed up. went to display properties, find out i'm missin tabs (screensaver&desktop). changed settin. friend said i got blasterworn. tried symantec blaster removal tool but not helpin. read the howto on the website but the part where it say the tool should display this&that after finish runnin didnt show up. i just got a mesage that say i got blasterworm, click ok, nothing happened. restart, still nothing and still got the blu mesage popin up and the warnin wallpaper. help me! & get tabs back.
