Am I crazy for thinking my husband should help in the potty training process?

Today I was sitting with my son, and he was on his potty chair (in the kitchen on the linoleum) I knew my husband had about an hour before he had to leave for work, so I asked him if he would come over and sit with him, and read to him, while I jumped in the shower. He wasn't doing anything but laying on the couch watching tv, so I didn't think it would hurt him. Well, I asked him and he just looked at me like I was crazy and kind of snickered. I was like, "Uhh.. you can help, he's your son, too." and he was like, "You're not going to tell me what I'm going to do" and I told him that he should WANT to help, and he got pissed at me and yelled, "FINE get in the FUKING shower!" I can't believe he talked to me like that, in front of our son no less, and was SO mad because I wanted his help. Is he not capable of sitting next to him and talking to him? He peed just a minute later, but that's not the point! I was so hurt I just got in the shower and cried. I can't even talk to him anymore.
